The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) provides services, supports, and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities. A wide range of specific services and supports are available to help individuals to live, work, and socialize in the community.

A Supported Living Coach provides personalized guidance to help individuals develop the skills needed to live as independently and confidently as possible. Services may include assistance with locating suitable housing, building and maintaining daily living skills such as personal hygiene and grooming, managing household responsibilities, preparing meals, shopping, and handling personal finances. Support also focuses on strengthening social and adaptive skills, empowering individuals to successfully reside on their own while enhancing their overall quality of life.

Personal Supports services provide assistance and training to the recipient in activities of daily living, such as eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and preparation of meals. Personal supports are designated to teach the recipient about home-related responsibilities. Respite services are also included to relieve the caregiver from their caregiving duties—without compromising the quality of care.

Companion services consist of non-medical care, supervision, and socialization activities provided to recipients age 21 years or older.
